With a Medicines Check Up you we can help with all of the above and much more. We have a qualified pharmacist with 17 years of experience who will go over your medication with you.

Each year thousands of people all around the world end up in hospital with problems caused by their medicines. It has been shown that many of these problems could have been avoided. Older people are particularly at risk.

What do we do in a Medicines Check Up?

1) We check with you how you are taking medicines and ensure you are taking them correctly
2) Explain why you are on them, what they do and when best to take them
3) Explain where they should be stored, before usage, during and after
4) Go through what to expect when taking them
5) What problems you should report to your GP or Physician (Doctor)
6) We check that prescription medicines, over-the-counter medicines and vitamins are appropriate to take together
7) We help clarify any confusion with generic medicines
8) We provide help so you can remember to take your medicines
9) We check for interactions between your medicines
10) Provide lifestyle advice to support you better manage your condition

How does the Medicines Check Up Service work?

You will need to send some information about yourself or the person whose medication you would like reviewed, by email. Our pharmacist will look through this information and email you back initially it may be to clarify the information. Once we have all the details needed our pharmacist will review your medicines and email you back with suggestions on how to get the most from your medicines.

At present the service is completely by email but in the future we hope to be able to provide a camera link and go through your medicines in person.

A list of current illnesses/diseases/conditions if known

Name of each medication e.g. Glucophage
Name of each active ingredient in the medicine (if known) e.g. for Glucophage the ingredient would be Metformin
Strength of each medication
Form e.g. tablet, capsules, liquid etc

Charge/Fees

Currently this service is free of charge. However, in the future we will be charging for this service so make the most of the chance to have your medicines reviewed by a pharmacist for free.

About Our Pharmacist

My name is Jignesh, I will be the pharmacist that will review your medicines. I am a UK qualified pharmacist with 17 years of community pharmacy experience. You do not need to be from the UK to be eligible for this service. Glucosemeters4u.com is a global site and the review service is open to anyone anywhere in the world.

I've helped many people with their medicines, especially on how to get the most from what they are taking as a community pharmacist but I also work with doctors/physicians in reviewing their patients to help get the most from their patient's treatments. I have a wealth or knowledge and experience collected over the 17 years that I can use to help you.
