Glucose Testing
The
Point of Care Glucose Testing Meter allows safe testing of patients to check and
monitor blood glucose. Numerous patients can have their blood glucose levels tested
using this pack. How to use: - Prepare the One Touch Verio Meter
for glucose testing
- Run a control solution to ensure accuracy –
this should be done after every 50 tests
- DO NOT use the lancing device
supplied with the meter instead use the single use Unistik lancets supplied. This
will allow safe testing of patients in an infection controlled way.
- Prepare
the patient’s finger for testing
- Using the Unistik lancets prick
the patient’s finger
- Apply blood sample to test strip
- Within
a short time a glucose reading will be shown on the meter
